Watched Bridges of NYC today. It was a follow up attempt from last night’s unsuccessful drunken Hulu search. Othmar Hermann Ammann, the designer/engineer of half the bridges in NYC, was the most interesting part. Designing bridges that serve as icons for the city, immediately recognizable, that also serve the function of connecting the boroughs and uniting the city is pretty bad ass.

2010
first avatar rocks. it is pure 3D pleasure. i have seen it twice. in fact, as i was writing this i stopped to call my friend that i had seen it with to just chat. that is how strong avatar bonds are.
second. i am pissed at the world. authenticity can get lost in the world-wind of social interaction. not a bad thing, but it is something to be aware of. very valuable. but, you can’t lose your bearings. if you do, the value of these social interactions no longer become valuable. they become obstacles.
third. get real 2010. honeymoon is over.
first aid kit - not the american band, but the swedish - are my sweetest angels. they have been singing to me while i skip out of work and post things on blogs and make crafts. i don’t know why sweden maintains a permeant position as awesome cultural exporters, but i love it. i should have stayed..
